Also significant about this game against Irvine - Harriet's team first actual win! As previously mentioned, they have tied every single game this season except for one loss.

Halloween is getting closer! Time to take a look at
THE COSTUMES
Harriet and Abbie participate in a youth dance that happily
consisted of our stake and Abbie's stake combined!
It was great for Harriet to have her cousin to go to her first
youth dance with, they dressed as hockey players in Dave and Porter's jerseys.
Jack went as well, dressed as a referee.
Jack came up with this costume on his own - In-n-Out worker
We had the hat, he cut up an old red sheet for the apron, and photo shopped
himself the perfect name tag. He wore this to a friend's Halloween party
and everyone there loved it! He does look great.

she and friend Sam (right) dressed up as nerds.

Jim from The Office and me in nerd glasses - nearly effortless costumes for us
One of Henry's favorite recent movies was The Karate Kid with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan. When I saw this costume of the outfit the Karate
Kid wears at the final tournament I knew it would be perfect for Henry. He was thrilled with it and practiced his karate moves and high kicks every time he had it on.

At home we opt not to trick-or-treat on a Sunday and instead the kids are
excited to stay home and pass candy out to the trick-or-treaters
Henry and Jed wear their zip up jackets (Jed insists he is an "assassin" not a ninja)
while Jack pops his head out of the window at our unsuspecting guests
spookier without the camera flash
The kids have fun greeting the trick-or-treaters, and all our friends
come by to see us. The next day these friends brought us over 4
medium size ziplocs full of their own Halloween candy so that my kids
wouldn't miss out on anything. Their mom said it was all their idea
and that they were excited to put the bags together for my kids.
Such a sweet idea, in so many ways! Thanks friends!

Now that is a full on Halloween week! Where did you get those zip up hoodies? I'm laughing that Jed was an "assassin". How did Pete like that? And jacks in n out costume? And henry karate kid? How perfect are those?!? I loved seeing sues neighbors yard as well. I got to see it unfinished last July. It looks awesome. Bloody awesome. :)
I ditto everything Carrie said. How I loved those sweatshirts, Jack the pancake man, who tantalized the trick or treaters!
And What a great trunk or treat event!
