Utah, Day Six

Friday, August 6th -

On our second to last day in Utah me and Pete take the kids to the Disneyland of Utah,

L A G O O N !

We arrive at 11 a.m. with plans to stay the whole day.  There is plenty to see and do here,
the kids have a great time riding the rides,  I have fun remembering all the things from my
own youth that I loved about Lagoon, and Pete genuinely seems to enjoy his first visit here.

Dinosaur drop - kids love this ride.
Later in the evening it is shut down for awhile
because a raccoon is caught underneath it.

one of the many rides from my youth that
I wouldn't dare go on today.

Sky-ride over Lagoon - one end of the park to the other

Twins at the Giant Racer roller coaster - Jack's favorite

Pioneer Village

Rattlesnake Rapids
(at the end of the ride, the only time I could safely bring out my camera)

Around 5 p.m. after work CD heads out to Lagoon and switches places
with Pete.  He takes her car and heads back to join up with Spencer
and finish a painting project at CD's place.  The kids are so happy auntie CD is here!

Rattlesnake rapids (again)
Jed and I stay on the shore this time and try to shoot them with
coin-operated water cannons as they float by on the rapids.

We stay until closing time, around 11 p.m.
We have a great time and everyone falls asleep
during the car ride home.
