Thanks Grandma Carol!
Then last Thursday Pete and I had a date night out when we went to watch
the El Toro High School Boys Basketball team dominate Tesoro High.
Final Score eventually was 65 - 45 El Toro
We had come to the game to watch a friend of ours' son who plays for Tesoro
and is kind of a big shot in South Orange County high school basketball, but
I couldn't help but find myself cheering for home team El Toro.
Got a late start on the actual Valentines themselves - Sunday afternoon found Jed and Henry
writing their classmates' names on the Valentines we got from the picked over section at CVS.
VALENTINE'S DAY PARTIES!
I pop into Henry's class party in the afternoon - here he tries to smile while trying not
to show that he is chewing a big piece of chocolate candy
Henry and classmate - at this age Fun Dip is a far better sweetheart than any girl
I spend time volunteering with Jed's class as they are doing several Valentine's Day
activities including Valentine's Mad Libs, cookie decorating and craft picture frames
at first Jed pretends to be mad and hides his decorated cookies from my camera
but he is really being quite silly today (sugar high?)
and can't pose for a decent picture here with his buddies
Jed with his sweatheart
Harriet and Jack had early out today at Middle school,
so Harriet comes with me to help out with Jed's party
my two cute glasses wearers
Harriet decorates her whiteboard for Valentine's Day.
She is also on a countdown for our upcoming visit from CD this weekend!
The whiteboard in our kitchen is for Harriet and serves several purposes.
It is in part a fulfillment for a value project in Personal Progress in Young Womens
(an idea we got from our cousin Kenzie) as well as a creative outlet for Harriet.
She loves coming up with ideas, decorations, declarations and family information
for the board, and I love seeing what she is going to come up with next!
Henry stands by our Valentine shrine holding the grid "mystery puzzle"
he completed showing a heart with an arrow through it.
And last night after everyone was tucked into bed I went in to brush my teeth and found
this last Valentine's day message waiting for me on my toothbrush:

Yay! I finally got to catch up on your blog. Fun Valentines! I love Harriet’s toothbrush note. So cute. All the kids look more grown up in this post... I miss them. Can’t wait to see you :)
Loved that sweet message on the toothbrush! What a sweet girl you have. Also the glow shirt--RAD idea. I love it, I'm going to have to figure out how to have my own glow dance! Take Care.
Leave it to our darling Harriet! Love that toothbrush and the assistant decorator for her twinner. How I love that teamwork!
Then those cute smiley big, little boys! What a crew!
xoxox, Gramma too!
