Recently the twins had to fill out their schedules for next year eighth grade. We really love their middle school and they are excited to be moving up to be the top cats at the school - when there are only two grades the pecking order is clearly defined :-)
Harriet knew what she wanted to take for her electives - Clothing 2, Art 2, Office Aide - but Jack was faced with some challenges as he had too many activities he wanted to be involved in. He will be in Advanced Band with his drumming for the whole year, which left him with only room for one more elective. He wants to take Spanish 1, but he also wants to be a part of the crew that produces and performs the morning televised school news, known as "Good Morning Serrano" or, GMS. To be selected for GMS he had to submit a short video that he made.
He came home one afternoon, and within the space of about 2 hours he had come up with the concept, filmed the footage, and edited the entire thing into his video to submit.
Grandma and Grandpa had a chance to see it yesterday, but I thought I'd release it to a wider audience so you could see what he came up with. I know there are some of you that are computer wizzes, but I am not one of them, so I was sufficiently impressed that Jack was able to crank out his video in just under two hours. It takes me days to just put together a photo DVD with music....
Here is the video - we'll know soon if he is selected to be a part of GMS next year.

Love this! My vote is for JACK! (will they take my vote?)
He added the backward trampoline photo after we saw this. Sure hope he got the job and that his mean voice at the end did not scare anyone. I don't think I've ever heard that voice before! I loved the message, clear content and terrific summary of some of his interests!
We love Jack! and he gets our vote too! xox Gramma Ann
