This year the entire 3rd grade at La Madera participated in a holiday musical program.
It was actually very cute and well-done, and the kids did great. They didn't sing all
of the classic standards, instead they put on a little show that followed a script and had
some songs that I assume were written for the script. They did relate to all of the favorite
holiday topics such as snow, shopping and gifts, cooking and eating, and of course
the token Hanukkah song. (which was probably my favorite number in the show)
Here is a photo of Henry and some classmates I took before the show began.
Henry was seated in the second row, and so was I, so there were at least two rows
of people between us. I didn't always have the clearest view of him but luckily
there was a giant, over sized dreidel that pretty much pointed him out the entire time.
There was something for everyone to do during the program.
Henry's turn came during the materialistically themed song "Toys"
Here's the video I took of him - I had forgotten my video camera
so this was shot on the video feature of my point and shoot camera.
Again, good thing for that giant pointing dreidel. Henry did great!
Hope you are having a happy holiday season so far!
