December 2011 - Christmas vacation

Christmas 2011 - a few days before the big event we load up the van and drive

the 11 + hours to Utah.  We are especially excited for this visit because after

four years down under our Hall cousins are back in Provo!  Even the Coes have

preceded us in the drive up and will be here to celebrate the holiday. Yay! 

Entering Provo:

We make it thanks to handheld devices, overhead DVD player,

 books, and the ability to sleep sitting up with head resting face down into pillow.

When we pull up in front of the Hall's house, Jed is out the door and running in the

chilly temperature in his bare feet to meet Zach who is waiting at the front door.  

The cousins are so happy to be back together again!

During our week long visit there's not much snow in Utah 

but the boys still manage some great sled runs 

There are no beaches with waves for hundreds of miles from Provo

But the boys still manage to surf and body board

Instead of Flowriding the girls go shopping around the Riverwoods,

then return to the Provo Resort to enjoy some ice cream

Cousins 

After the busy afternoon we take the kids back to the Halls

 to relax and hang out while us grown ups enjoy a night out!

                        We head back to the Riverwoods; by now all of the beautiful Christmas lights 

                           have come on, the fire pits are burning bright and hot, and Santa has shown

                                  up in his little kiosk to chat with the line of children waiting to visit .

We enjoy a divine dinner at La Jolla Groves, where we dine

under the grove of lemon trees. (Dave, Matt, Pete)
