Youth Auction

Recently our ward youth held their 2nd Annual Youth Fundraising Auction.
This is an activity for the entire ward put on by the youth to raise money for
upcoming Scout and Girls camps. The idea is the youth gather products and
offer services which are then auctioned off to ward members.
We have a great group of youth in our ward

They all pitched in in different ways.
Harriet and friend run the front table,
registering ward members and passing out auction paddles

Jack and his friends serve up "Hawaiian Haystacks" for dinner

Pete wasn't the auctioneer but helped coordinate the event beforehand

Ward members made and donated delicious deserts which were for sale

we may or may not have purchased an entire pan of caramel brownies...

The twins each donated goods and services.  As well as 4 hours of twin babysitting
(which was the subject of a bidding war and brought in over $35 dollars), Harriet and
Jack each offered individual items.
Harriet made one of her darling dolls for the silent auction portion

While Jack offered a lesson in solving the Rubix Cube, which he is quite good at.

We have great youth in the ward who came through with some wonderful
products and services,  as well as some great ward members who came
out and supported them in their activity.  I was outbid on everything I
tried to get which included soccer lessons and some bake-on-demand foods.
Great job Lake Forest Ward!
