Christmas Day

Christmas morning in Utah at grandma and grandpa's.  Don't know how much longer the kids will let me keep dragging them up here for Santa to find us.  But I love being in snowy Utah for Christmas.  The kids do too, for now.  And this year has been extra special with the arrival of our little cousin Clara!
But again Santa did find us here, and left us with some cool stuff.  Here's a look at "the goods":

first things first - the stockings

CD with her stocking stash

Jed with a Lego set and the Phineas and Ferb pajamas that he had been
asking for.  He's also holding the Unicorn Pillow Pet he got for his birthday.

Henry scored with the Legos as well - he was very excited to
get this Quidditch Lego Set, mostly for the Draco Malfoy mini figure

Santa-grandma also gave him a Joker Lego Mini figure which he has wanted for some time
 - those come only from the Amazon elves, and they aren't cheap....

Jack and Harriet received several books,
including this year's Ripley's Believe It or Not!

Jack opened a whole box full of Duct tape!  Every kid got some duct tape
in their stocking as well - including bright yellow, flaming and camo.

Jack got this book as well, making things out of duct tape has been one of our latest
projects and past times.  The kids make wallets, purses, accessories and jewelry,
all out of duct tape.  Pete's former boss/principal and her kids and friends came
to babysit our kids recently, and they spent the whole evening making things
out of duct tape.  Below is a photo of everyone displaying their wallets:

Harriet also scored a turtle Pillow Pet which she loves.
Her Perry the Platypus looks on, perhaps a bit perturbed.

The kids also got an upgrade from last year's highly successful Rock Band for Wii gift -
this year they received Rock Band 3, along with a keyboard and second guitar.
Harriet got the Wii Drawing Tablet, resulting in a few Wii timeshare battles today.

Jack also unwrapped a pair of drumsticks....for waiting back home for him in our neighbor's
garage was his big gift this year - a brand new drum set! (are we crazy??!)
Here he is with the set back home - it actually, unbelievably fits into his walk-in closet,
making it so much nicer for us and for the neighbors.  This is going to be fun....

Merry Christmas morning 2010!

After opening gifts and eating breakfast we played in the snow a bit...

and of course went to the hospital to visit baby Clara.

Merry Christmas indeed!
