School Vacation

When your dad is an educator in Santa Ana, this is where you spend part of your Christmas vacation:

(mostly because he has free tickets)

cool things to see in the courtyard

and inside

Just down the street from the Bowers is the Bowers Kidseum.
It is a very hands-on establishment where art comes alive for kids.

Among the many cool things we find here:

musical instruments

hieroglyphic rubbings

masks,

masks

and more

masks

But the best thing of all...
is the multi cultural dress-up chests full of clothing and accesories

with an amazing array of shoes from around the world
(this is more of a foots-on display)

all meant to be tried on and modeled

the kids come up with so many different combinations of
clothing, hat, shoes, sarape styles

that the best way to really share it is through video

who knew learning could be so fun?!?

Cool museums. I love seeing the kids dress ups.

Who knows, maybe one day Grammy can open up a kidmuseum for all her “old” stuff hiding in the trunks :)
