Our baby Jedidiah was baptized in January!
(thanks again to Sarah of Sugarhouse Ink for supplying Jed's invite though
still in the happy midst of her newborn baby haze!)
Mom and dad fly down to Southern California for the weekend
and we are excited to spend some time with them here. They take
us out to dinner and listen to all of our stories and admire our
artwork and help out wherever needed!
And one of the best things was every time we showed Grandma
something or told her about a sports experience or school event
she would say "I remember reading about that on the blog!"
She and other far away family members are my main target audience of this blog so I'm
thrilled it keeps her up on all of our latest news and adventures.
Saturday before the big event we did some sightseeing. When I was young
my parents often brought us to Laguna Beach on our trips to California.
Now I love getting the chance to return the favor and bring my parents here.
Dad and mom - Laguna Beach
we stroll along the shops of main street - its rare that we come to
Laguna and play the tourists - it was fun to explore the area
Harriet
of course we have to stop at the Candy Baron - "exotic"candy shop that Jack
and Porter have walked to from grandma's house - Jack was eager to visit again!
The shop is full of candy, everything you can imagine including
hard-to-find stuff and candy from other countries
(of course it is all incredibly overpriced)
Soon its time to head back up Laguna Canyon and get everyone ready for
JED'S BAPTISM
Pete and Jed ready to go
Jed's family and his grandparents from Utah
(everyone else arrived too late for photos)
several of Jed's school friends come to the baptism which thrills Jed.
Here he is with two of his best buddies - and their gifts to him.
The next day in Primary the president gives him a gift:
scripture marking pencils for his new scriptures
from Grandma & Grandpa
Congratulations Jed and thanks again mom and dad!
